Digital Painting Tutorial (Sai + Photoshop) by witchpaws Digital Painting Tutorial (Sai + Photoshop) by witchpaws
Many people requested a tutorial on how I paint digitally.
This isn't really a tutorial, so much as a visual depiction of my painting process. (Sorry, I am so bad at explaining things, I'd rather just show how I work. xD)

As you can see...MY DRAWINGS START OUT VERY DERPY. It takes a lot of experimentation to make it look "right".

I hope it can help some of you. ;3;

If you have any other questions, feel free to leave a comment.

I know this is a stupid question, but at the coloring part, how do you make it in a simple way so that you paint inside the lines?

You have a very beautiful way of colouring~ However, I would suggest that instead of using textures from Google Images that you look into stock! Even if you search for 'royalty free textures', that doesn't guarantee that the image you pick will not be copyrighted or have restrictions on commercial use. There are heaps of sources for stock; some on dA, off the top of my head, that do not require crediting or payment for commercial use are:

As you are an artist yourself, I'm sure that you understand that somebody would be upset if you used their work in yours without permission. Legal implications aside, it's a bit hypocritical to ask people not to steal your artwork if you are stealing theirs. So please consider this in the future.

I'm not a thief: many google images lead directly to dA source, if it says no credit required then i don't worry about it. if it says credit required, i link back to the source.
